Suzi Milgate and Milgate Real Estate Pty Ltd

Northern Territory Consumer Affairs has received evidence that Ms Milgate is presenting and practicing as a licensed real estate agent following the revocation of her licence on 31 January 2024 by the Agents Licensing Board.

Find more about the decision, go to the Department of Industry, Tourism and Trade website.

Revocation of Ms Milgate’s individual licence means she is not able to practice as a real estate agent. This means she is unable to act on behalf of a landlord or to undertake any of the usual activities of a real estate agent, including but not limited to letting rental properties, conducting open homes, taking money or entering into tenancy arrangements on behalf of a landlord.

NT Commissioner of Consumer Affairs, Traci Keys advises, “Consumers are cautioned about entering into any legal or financial realty arrangements with Ms Milgate, based on representation that she has a current real estate license.

Real estate agents are a licensed industry. This is in recognition that they are responsible for managing large amounts of money and representing the interests of landlords in what might be complex arrangements. Consumers should only engage with licensed practicing realtors in relation to buying, selling, letting or renting a property.”

The decision of the Agents Licensing Board is currently the subject of an application for a stay before the Northern Territory Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

The company licence for Ms Milgate’s business Milgate Real Estate Pty Ltd expired on 6 February 2024.
