Sleep bub safe
A safe sleep space can look very different for every family, but the most important thing is to put bub to sleep in a safe place, in a safe way.
If you’re new to the parenting world, or it’s been a while since you’ve cared for a bub, take a look at new safe sleep resources created by the ACCC. These resources have important information to help keep your bub sleeping safety, including:
- a video with things you can do to make bub’s sleep environment safe, and a
- brochure with more information.
You can also find handy tips and information on the ACCC’s Product Safety Facebook, Twitter X, and Your Rights Mob Facebook Page. Sharing these posts with friends or family who are expecting a bub or caring for one, will help them keep bub sleeping safely.
If you’re looking for more information, you can yarn with your midwife, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health practitioner, or health worker. They can help.
And if you’re a health worker in community, working with new and expecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parents or carers, you can help get the word out on safe sleep by sharing the webpage or downloading the brochure and handing it out during ante and post-natal maternal health appointments.
You can also download other resources to share on your communications channels or share the ACCC’s social media posts on your organisation’s social media pages to help spread this important safety message far and wide across community.
We would be grateful if you could share these posts on your social media platforms to help raise awareness.
Sleep bub in a safe place, in a safe way, so they can grow healthy and strong.
